Are you damned and/or obscene
Are you a man of the cloth
(Or) are you bland and sloth
Are you caste and chaste
Do you trust in blind faith

From the apostles to (the) apocalypse
From Aristotle to (the) aristocracy/aristocrats
Have you ever heard of it
(Or) should we/you/I take your/their word for it
Are you now/still uncertain
Of the truth that was written
And if you are (still) un/not sure
(Just) look/read it (up) in the scriptures

From brother to brother
There is no other
But the one and only
The high and mighty
And the low and lonely

From brother to brother
There is another
But the most holy and high
And those (down) below
Never question why
